Universal Speed Rating Partners with Prep Network to Deliver Verified Testing at 100+ Showcase Events in 2026

Universal Speed Rating is proud to announce a national partnership with Prep Network to deliver verified athletic testing at over 100 showcase events in 2026.

Through this partnership, Universal Speed Rating’s nationwide Speed Lab Community will lead and execute on field performance testing at Prep Network events across the country, including each of the Prep Redzone showcases.

This collaboration brings together two trusted brands with complementary missions. Prep Network has built one of the most respected platforms in youth and high school sports for exposure, rankings, recruiting resources, tournaments, and showcases. Universal Speed Rating has built a national network of elite performance coaches, focused on helping athletes train smarter through verified performance data.

Together, the two organizations are enhancing the showcase experience by ensuring that athletic testing is professionally administered, accurately captured, and development-focused.

Verified Performance Testing at Every Event

At each showcase, athletes will complete a full combine-style testing series, including:

• 40 Yard Dash, laser timed
• Pro Shuttle (5-10-5)
• Broad Jump
• L Drill

All assessments will be administered by Speed Lab coaches, ensuring athletes receive accurate results they can trust.

Performance data will integrate directly into Prep Redzone athlete profiles, providing coaches, athletes, and families with reliable and objective evaluation metrics.

Powered by the Speed Lab Community

A key component of this partnership is the Speed Lab Community.

To support more than 100 showcase events in 2026, Speed Labs will be selected based on event location to execute testing on-site. This ensures athletes are evaluated by experienced performance coaches who understand both accurate testing and athletic development.

For Speed Labs, this represents a significant opportunity to:

• Get in front of thousands of new athletes
• Strengthen their position as trusted performance authorities in their local markets
• Build long-term athlete relationships beyond event day

Over the course of the year, more than 7,500 athletes are expected to test at Prep Network showcases supported by Speed Labs.

Creating a Measurable Development Pathway

After testing at a Prep Redzone showcase, athletes can connect directly with a Speed Lab in their area to receive targeted training designed to improve measurable performance. Athletes can then return to future showcases to retest and track verified improvement over time, turning showcase testing into a measurable development pathway.

Showcase testing becomes the starting point for measurable development, not just a single data snapshot.
